Paris Design Week x China Week
Paris Design Week (PDW) and Milan Design Week (MDW) are hailed as “the world’s two premier design events.” They bring together the cutting-edge forces of design, art, technology, and business innovation, while also possessing tremendous industry influence and appeal. They are platforms where global design leaders, media organizations, and opinion leaders converge to define future trends. In September 2025, take part in Paris Design Week China Week and let your design be seen by the world.
Paris Design Week: A Flowing Urban Design Laboratory
Over the past 14 years, Paris Design Week has adopted a model of “borderless curating”, embedding design into neighborhoods, galleries, cafés, and even urban renovation sites, allowing innovation to flow through the very veins of Paris. Exhibition venues are concentrated in the four most vibrant districts of Paris’s design scene, with showcases spread across neighborhoods, studios, bookstores, galleries, cafés, brand windows, and even along streets under construction.
For brands, Paris Design Week is not only a showcase but also an opportunity for identity building, market connection, and value redefinition. Nearly 90% of brands choose this platform to enhance visibility, attract new customers, and establish direct connections with the international professional community through the VIP visiting mechanism. Through the synergy with MAISON&OBJET, the MOM platform, and the City Walk program, Paris Design Week has built a comprehensive support system that takes brands from “being seen” to “being remembered.”
From September 4 to 13, Paris Design Week will be held under the theme “Régénération”, embedding design into more than 375 spaces across the four core districts — including exhibition halls, galleries, bookstores, restaurants, historic buildings, and even street pillars and water fountains. In addition, young creators, cross-disciplinary experiments, and narratives in public spaces will serve as key directions of this year’s design showcase.
China Week at Paris Design Week 2025
This year’s China Week at Paris Design Week will debut in the heart of the Marais district under the new theme “Blooming”. It will unfold a multidimensional narrative across historic neighborhoods, pop-up exhibitions, and ecological venues, engaging the public, brands, institutions, and creators alike.
• Duration: September 4-8, 2025
• Location: VT77 Art Center in Le Marais, Paris; Gallery at 97 Rue des Tournelles, Le Marais, Paris
VT77 Art Center - An Architect's Memory of Le Marais
VT77 Art Center is located in the heart of Paris's Le Marais district, with its backyard sharing a tranquil garden view with the French National Archives. Just a few steps away, you'll find iconic cultural and historical sites such as the Picasso Museum, the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature, the Carnavalet Museum, and the Place des Vosges. The building itself was originally an industrial complex from the 19th century, once owned by pipe trade associations and metallurgical factories. It stands as a witness to Le Marais' century-long transformation from a working-class neighborhood into a high-end fashion district.
The exhibition spaces at VT77 Art Center:
• A main hall with 7-meter-high ceilings
• Metal and glass structures that run throughout the entire venue
• A serene inner courtyard and bamboo garden that seamlessly blend with the exhibitions
• Versatile areas suitable for independent displays, installation art, brand exhibitions and more
97 Rue des Tournelles - Pop-up Design Store
97 Rue des Tournelles is a boutique gallery housed in a 19th-century building located in Paris's Le Marais district, an area renowned for its concentration of art galleries and cultural spaces. The site previously operated for many years as a luxury store specializing in Parisian fashion and design products. In 2013, it was acquired and renovated by Galerie À Demain, a gallery dedicated to 20th-century design.
During the 2025 Paris Design Week, 97 Rue des Tournelles will serve as one of the main venues, welcoming design enthusiasts from around the world. More than just an exhibition space, it will function as an observatory for direct engagement with urban life—where neighborhood culture, exhibition visitors, and consumer behavior intersect. For this event, 97 Rue des Tournelles will be transformed into a pop-up design store, focusing on product design, home decor, small-scale installations, and displays from emerging brands.
Currently, 97 Rue des Tournelles is offering a limited number of exhibition spaces and product display opportunities to independent Chinese designers and brands.
