Beethoven Gala Creative Concert
Music is flowing architecture; architecture is frozen music.
On April 25, 2021, InterCulture invited international artists to present a Beethoven music series at Hu Ancestral Hall in Huangpu Ancient Port, achieving a wonderful integration of Chinese and Western cultures.
In the afternoon, the exhibition "COVERED CULTURE" opened. In the evening, the waterfront square was full. Artist Su Lisi’s installation Water Drop paid tribute to Beethoven. The concert opened with Beethoven’s E-flat Major Ecossaise and Spring Sonata, followed by experimental theater, vocal music, contemporary dance, cello, piano, and jazz trio. Guangzhou Soul Project, founded by German Consul General in Guangzhou Martin Fleischer, performed Roll Over Beethoven in rock-jazz style, bringing the concert to a climax.
Performers included international artists and "diplomat-musicians". German Consul General Martin Fleischer noted that art transcends borders and bridges language and political divides, thanking InterCulture for promoting Sino-German exchanges.
Co-organized by the German Consulate General in Guangzhou, InterCulture, and OJESH; exclusively sponsored by NRW.GLOBAL.
