InterCulture and Honor Co-organised "Technology Meets Art" Forum at IFA Berlin

The annual IFA Berlin is the world's largest consumer electronics and home appliances fair, which is in its 99th year. It is worth mentioning that there are more than 1,000 Chinese exhibitors at this exhibition, accounting for nearly 50% of the total number of exhibitors. In addition to well-known home appliance brands such as Haier, Hisense, TCL and Midea, as well as consumer electronics brands such as DJI, Lenovo and Honor, there are more booths of small and medium-sized enterprises actively seeking to go global and find a broader market, including many exhibitors from Yuehai Sub-district Office, known as "Shenzhen's Most Powerful Sub-district Office", who have "rolled" to Berlin.

Zhao Ming, CEO of Honor Group, delivered the opening keynote speech at this year's IFA and showcased the eye-catching external flip folding screen mobile phone V Purse.

In the afternoon, the forum "Technology Meets Art" was jointly organised by InterCulture and Honor.

The forum was moderated by Dr. Jasmin Gong, co-founder of InterCulture, and featured conversation guests including Prof. Klaus Siebenhaar, founder of the School of Art and Media Management at the Free University of Berlin, renowned artist Prof. Wang Xiaohui from Tongji University, Mexican contemporary artist Yunuen Esparza, and Dr. Guo Rui, Global Chief Marketing Officer of Honor Group.

The participating experts put forward opinions and suggestions from different perspectives around the theme of this forum. Professor Siebenhaar said that in the history of art, every technological progress and invention of new technology has been an impact on traditional artists and art forms. However, throughout history, technology and art have always complemented and achieved each other.

Professor Wang Xiaohui and Yunuen Esparza introduced their creative concepts, cultural origins and works combined with technology. They believe that artists should embrace technology, which can enable art to have more forms of expression and dimensions, creating more diverse and shocking art works.

Dr. Guo Rui introduced the HONOR Talents Global Design Competition, which has been held for three years and has received more than 13,000 entries from over 160 universities in more than 40 countries, providing an international platform for emerging designers around the world to showcase their talents, exchange and learn, and achieve commercialisation.

Dr. Jasmin Gong, founder of InterCulture, said that technology is hard power and art is soft power. The integration of technology and art is an inevitable trend of future development. InterCulture will continue to leverage its resource advantages to build more platforms for Sino-European exchanges in technology, art and culture, promote mutual understanding and cooperation between China and Europe, and drive Chinese technology and culture to go global.
